Vulfpeck is a funk band that was founded in 2011 as a reimagination of ‘60s house bands like Funk Brothers, Wrecking Crew, and Muscle Shoals. They are very fun and their lyrics border on absurdity at times, but every band member and collaborator is extremely talented and it shows in their music.

While Vulfpeck has an interesting identity already (the band has two official typefaces to its name), my goal was to bring more of the fun of their music to the visual design of their latest album, Hill Climber. The layout and composition of the album cover is reminiscent of albums from the 60s and 70s as a call back to the band's roots.

The band's recent concert at MSG proves that Vulfpeck is gaining a lot of traction in the music world. Using a modular grid, I created a poster advertising the show as an extension of the album identity.
