SELECT ARTWORK

As Senior Graphic Designer for the marketing team at Blue Note, one of my primary job functions is to create the promotional artwork for every show at the club. As a brand, Blue Note is very artist forward—we don't have generic templates, opting to give each act their own style. I usually start with some research on the artist/group to better understand that style by looking at their web and social media presence, discography artwork, and listening to some of their music. We source images and other important billing information from artist mangement teams and I provide them with drafts to review, giving them the chance to provide any feedback or additional direction before finalizing the artwork. Once it's finalized, my team will resize the art for all of our marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, digital ads, and print.
