The Fearless Flyers brought their signature high-powered funk to the Blue Note stage. In addition to resizing their promotional graphics for various marketing channels, I was given the opportunity to create a commemorative poster for the run of shows—a daunting yet exciting task for a massive fan like myself.

I wanted to capture some of the unique aspects of the band, rather than just depict the members as has been done many times before. I focused in on two of signature components of their style: their signature (literally) instruments, and the sunglasses they all choose to wear for every performance and studio recording. Finally, I added a true Blue Note color palette to the mix as well as some finer branding details to make it an unmistakably one-of-a-kind piece.

These posters were sold at the Blue Note gift shop throughout The Fearless Flyers' run—we had to restock multiple times due to the demand.
